#writing #shortstories #poetry #winter #wonderland •Moment I felt alive Resting softly in the breeze floating downward , my thoughts begin to thaw with the realisation that this is something I have not yet felt. A swirling parade of lights surround us, reflecting of our smiles from the stuttering jockey-less carousel. Thundering !,deafening noises suddenly fall on deaf ears as our gaze moves from eyes to sky , Every moment falls from the black abyss ,Eye lids close and dreams begin. Evergreen and cinnamon base our surroundings with texture, feelings of life descend from chests, a feeling I have not yet felt. Moments estranged since whispers occurred ,Cross my eyes as lids are closed. These moments melt over my brow, become extinct and rest on my lips wanting to be whispered away. The wanting of wishes locks in fingertips. A once froze now thawed heart breaks its stride, beats out and cries! , Not to be a melted moment or a moment of dark life. I open my eyes and realise this is the moment I felt alive
